1./ Bookings
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by For People By Djs. A booking request submitted through our website does not constitute a confirmed reservation until we reply by email.
2./ Hire period
The hiring period commences at 12:00hrs on the first date of the hire period unless otherwise specified in the order confirmation. The hire period terminates at 12:00hrs on the last date of the hire period unless otherwise specified in the order confirmation. If access is not possible and delivery is delayed, waiting shall be charged at 20Euro/hr. After waiting for 1 hr the Company has the right to return to base. If the company is not able to gain access to make collection, the Company has the right to charge an extra day at the same rate as the hire. Please note orders placed within 48 hours of the drop off time cannot be guaranteed.
3./ Payment
Full payment will be made in cash on the day of delivery. In the event of No Show by the Hirer, For People By Djs may charge 100% of the full booking fee on the credit/debit card used to secure the booking. Under our normal booking procedure, no advance deposit will be taken on the credit/debit card at the time of the booking, although the card will be verified as being valid with the issuing bank.
Our booking cancellation terms are:
- The charge for “No Show or Non Attendance” when the equipment is delivered will be 100% of the rental amount.
- For a cancellation less than 48 hours before intended start of rental: 100% of rental amount. - For a cancellation more than 48 hours before the intended start of the rental: 50% of the rental amount. - The company reserves the right to remove the equipment at the end of sound check if payment is not made in full. Cancellation of a booking will result in the loss of any deposit that the Hirer might have made. The Hirer shall in no circumstances move the equipment from the delivery address without obtaining the consent of the Company in writing. For certain higher value reservations, where there is reason to believe that the booking may be a risk (eg little or no of communication from the hirer) For People By Djs, at its sole discretion, may pre-authorise 50% or 100% of the payment on the card used to make the booking.
As this is primarily a B2B site, prices are quoted exclusive of IVA (VAT).
4./ Cancellations
Cancellations must be communicated in writing as early as possible. Cancellation fees may apply depending on how close to the event date the cancellation is made.
5./ Equipment Use & Responsibility
All rented equipment remains the property of For People By Djs. The renter is responsible for the safe use, storage, and return of the equipment in the same condition it was received. Any damage, loss, or theft will be charged to the renter at replacement cost.
6./ Liability
The Hirer agrees to pay the company the full retail cost of any equipment lost, stolen or damaged beyond economic repair.
The Hirer must arrange their own insurance to cover the equipment, and agree that any loss or damage, direct or in-direct, will be repaid to the Company in full
The Hirer is also responsible for any fines incurred in misuse of the equipment and/or costs in the recovery of the equipment, including any unpaid fines.
7./ Delivery & Setup
Delivery, setup, and technical support are available and, where applicable, included in the service. Timing and logistics will be agreed in advance.
8./ Customers responsibility
For the duration of the hire, the equipment is under the care and control of the hirer, and they agree to take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well being of the equipment. This will include the cost of the lost/damaged equipment and the loss of earnings until replaced.
The Hirer will not sell or offer for sale, assign, mortgage, pledge, underlet, lend or otherwise deal with the equipment or any parts thereof in a manner prejudicial to the company’s rights, but will keep the equipment in its possession and will not remove the same or any part or parts thereof from the place where the equipment is for the time being and will duly and punctually pay all rents, rates, taxes, charges and impositions payable in respect thereof on demand and will protect the same against distress, execution or seizure and indemnify the Company against all losses, costs, charges, damages and expenses incurred by it by reason or in respect thereof.
The company’s liability in respect of any defect or failure of the apparatus supplied is limited by making good or replacement or repair defects which under proper use and conditions appear therein and arise solely from faulty design materials or workmanship. We are not to be held liable for stoppages or any consequential loss or damage arising out of work done or services rendered under any contract of hire.
9./ Health and Safety
High Sound Pressure levels can cause permanent hearing damage. Repeated exposure can have a cumulative effect. Equipment provided by the company can and does produce high enough sound pressure levels to cause hearing damage. The company cannot accept liability for any individual’s failure to stay at an appropriate distance from loudspeakers or failure to take any necessary steps to protect their own hearing. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure the safety, with regards to hearing, of the general public. Where appropriate the customer may wish to ensure that warning notices are displayed, hearing protection is issued, or safety barriers are erected.
10./ Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations under these terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond that party's reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, government restrictions, strikes, or other events outside our control.
11./ Privacy
Personal information submitted through our booking form is used only to process your request and will not be shared with third parties.
12./ Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the version that applies to your booking.
